The Forbes family has farmed at Zilzie Estate in north-west Victoria since 1911. The farm has seen a diversity of agricultural activities over the years with the first vineyards established in 1971. There are currently over 1000 acres of premium varieties planted to vines.
The newly constructed Zilzie Winery, one of the most technologically advanced and modern of its type in Australia, is a testament to this fourth generation of proud Australian farmers who have built up a business based on modern ideas and technology but driven by the old fashioned principles of friendship, honesty and hard work.
Zilzie Wines now carry over 25 premium wines in their “current” range. Their Show Reserve, Zilzie, Buloke, Forbes and Shane Warne Collection are all made from the finest fruit grown each vintage, using sensitive viticulture techniques, careful winemaking ensuring appeal to a wide audience and a pleasure to the most refined palate.
